Most importantly I have been printing for over 20 years and have always used Permaset inks. Permaset Aqua Process Colours have been certified organic by the Soil Association of the UK. This certification means that the inks meet the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) for non-organic chemical inputs used in organic textile processing. Permaset Aqua inks are also vegan, as they are made without animal ingredients and are not tested on animals. The inks are also free of ozone-depleting chemicals, lead, heavy metals, and toxic chemicals. Permaset Aqua inks are produced sustainably using renewable energy and non-toxic ingredients. I use Fabriano Unica paper to print on. It is 50% cotton, acid-free and produced in an environmentally friendly process. The Fabriano paper mill in Italy has been making paper by hand since 1264, making it over 750 years old. How cool is that : )
