This silk screen print is a summer holiday, a dream, a memory of a fun time. I made a halftone print of Dreamland and the beach in front, then added the illustrations of the brother and sister eating ice creams.
The halftone layer is made up of 4 pieces of paper carefully joined together to make up the image. It is impossible to make it perfect which I love. Imperfection is the new perfection. The coloured layers underneath are all hand painted fast and messy, creating lush painterly printed layers
